Familiarise With Your Home Screen

The screen you see on the smartphone is the Home screen. You can add more screens when you have more Apps and Widgets installed. You may swipe left and right to navigate from one screen to another.

Touch/Press on the Apps Container to see the installed Apps. Installed apps will appear as below.

You may hold and drag an app to the Home Screen so that that app can be launched from the Home Screen whenever required. Drag the Settings App to the Home Screen.

Now the Settings App is on the Home Screen as seen above. Press the Settings App to open it as given below.

From Settings, select Data usage.

You may see the Cellular data as Off because earlier we used WIFI while resetting the phone. Slide it to right to Switch on Cellular data.

When the selector is slided to right, its color will turn to be Green, meaning that Cellular data is on. You should do this only after charging the Sim with a data pack. Now the phone is connected to internet thru Sim card data pack.

Google Apps Container

You may find the Google Apps Container on the Home Screen. if not, you can drag it from the Apps Container to the Home Screen.

Tap.Press on the Google apps Container to open it. The below Screen will appear.

All the Apps in the google family will appear in the screen. Either you can open individual apps from here or you can hold-drag them to Home Screen. Hold and drag the Gmail app to the Home screen.

Now the Gmail app is on the Home Screen. Tap on it the app will open.

Your Gmail inbox will be open and you will see some messages in the inbox. You may experiment with it in your own time. The messages in Bold letters are Unread messages. you may tap open a message to read it. The Red circle with a pen icon is for creating new mails.

Above is a mail opened for reading. To scroll down to read full message you may slide up with you finger.

Please take note of the three lines icon left to the Primary label in the previous screen. when you tap on it the below screen will appear.

Here, you will find the number of messages in the Inbox as well as Sent folder. If there are some messages in the Outbox, they are not sent due to some reasons and you should investigate.

When you tap on the down arrow inside the red circle, the below screen will come up.

Here you can add more accounts or manage existing accounts. Tap on the "Add account" and the below screen will come up.

Please note that you will be able to add another google account or even an email account of Yahoo, Outlook etc.

Congratulations. Now, start communicating with rest of the world with your email accounts.

പീഡാനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ ഞായറാഴ്ച്ചകൾ

ആഴ്ച്ചാവസാനവും ഞായറാഴ്ചയും അടുക്കുന്തോറും മനസ്സിൽ ആധി വർദ്ധിക്കുകയാണ്. എന്തും സംഭവിക്കാം എന്ന മുൻവിധിയോടാണ് ഞായറാഴ്ച്ച 8:30 ന് പള്ളിയിലേക്ക് വലതുകാൽ വെച്ചു കയറുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യയിലും വിദേശത്തും ജോലി ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴൊക്കെ വീക്കെൻഡ് അഥവാ ആഴ്ച്ചാവസാനം വലിയ ആവേശത്തോടെയായിരുന്നു കാത്തിരുന്നത്. ആഘോഷമാക്കുന്ന വീക്കെൻഡിൽ ഞായറാഴ്ച്ച പള്ളിയിൽ പോയിരുന്നത് മുൻപോട്ടുള്ള വഴിയിൽ വലിയ ഊർജ്ജം നൽകിയിരുന്നു. ആഴ്ചയുടെ അവസാനം പള്ളിയിൽ പോവുക എന്നുള്ളത് ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലും ഖത്തറിലും ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന സമയത്താണ് ആരംഭിച്ചത്. അതിനുമുമ്പ് എയർ ഫോഴ്സിലും സൗദി അറേബ്യയിലുമായി ചെലവഴിച്ച 32 വർഷക്കാലം പള്ളിയിൽ പോക്ക് പരിപാടിയിലേ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. ചുരുക്കത്തിൽ, കഴിഞ്ഞ 18 വർഷങ്ങളിലെ വീക്കെൻഡിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന അനേകം പരിപാടികളിൽ ഒന്നുമാത്രമായിരുന്നു പള്ളിയിൽപോക്ക്. അത് പരമാവധി ഒന്നര മണിക്കൂർ കൊണ്ട് തീരുമായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു ശല്യമായി ഒരിക്കലും കണ്ടിരുന്നില്ല. അടൂരിൽ എത്തിയതിനുശേഷവും (2015 ന് ശേഷം) ഞായറാഴ്ച്ച കുർബാനയ്ക്ക് ഒന്നര മണിക്കൂർ നീക്കി വെക്കുമായിരുന്നു. അരീക്കലച്ചനും നെടിയത്തച്ചനും പൂവണ്ണാലച്ചനും ഒക്കെ ഇവിടെ വികാരിമാരായിരുന്ന സ...
